IOWA POULTRY ASSOCIATION HIRES ELYCIA AHL AS POULTRY HEALTH AND EDUCATION MANAGER

Urbandale, Iowa (July 2, 2021) The Iowa Poultry Association announces that Elycia Ahl has joined the organization as poultry health and education manager. In her new role, Ahl will serve as the National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP) coordinator, work on the broader poultry health initiatives, and assist with the Iowa Poultry Association education and membership outreach.

Iowa Poultry Association Executive Director Kevin Stiles said, “We’re thrilled to have Elycia join the team. Her industry experience and passion for education will make her an excellent fit for our association.”

For the last 4 years, Ahl worked for Hy-line International, where she served as the Chick Processing Supervisor and most recently as the Assistance Hatchery Manager. She is very excited to be working on the education side of the egg and poultry industry and be able to reach out and educate consumers and producers. Ahl is originally from Omaha, Nebraska and graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Animal Science.

“I am looking forward to getting more involved in the egg and poultry industry and learning more about how to provide value for producers and our members,” Ahl discussed.
