Planning For In-Person National Poultry Show Underway

851

After a successful virtual National Poultry Show Connect, sponsored by Aviagen, and produced by the Western Fair Association (WFA) and the Poultry Industry Council (PIC), show organizers are eagerly looking forward to an in-person format for this year’s National Poultry Show, April 6-7, 2022.

Live events of all kinds were missed throughout the pandemic. Trade shows specifically are critical industry events that provide important networking opportunities, knowledge and lead generation for exhibitors and customers alike. Virtual shows helped fill the void during the last 17 months, and National Poultry Show Connect delivered good digital content and education as well as vital connection opportunities with our industry partners. Virtual can’t replace the experience of in-person show floors, but there remains opportunity for live broadcasts and virtual content to compliment live shows and events in the future.

In 2022 the National Poultry Show will return to its home at the Western Fair District Agriplex; and will be one of the first live trade shows launched in the event space. For almost two years now, the space has served as a field hospital and vaccination centre for London Health Sciences Centre as part of southwestern Ontario’s pandemic response plan. Both the 2020 and 2021 in-person poultry events were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The show continues to be a great partnership between (PIC) and (WFA), and has given back to the industry and producers since 1957. A portion of the revenues from this event helps PIC create educational resources, and programs for the Ontario poultry sector.

As planning gets underway for a safe event in 2022, show organizers wish to acknowledge the support of the many industry sponsors that supported virtual offerings this past year, including presenting sponsor Aviagen, keynote sponsors Cobb-Vantress, Farm Credit Canada, Ontario Pride Eggs and Masterfeeds, and show sponsors Alltech, Clark Ag Systems, Ontario Federation of Agriculture, Cumberland Poultry Equipment, Ceva Animal Health, Libro Credit Union, M&T Printing Group, Neogen, Huvepharma, Jamesway Chick Master Incubator, Probiotech International, IGPC Feeds, EthoGuard,

Poultry Management Systems Inc., New-Life Mills, Pestell Nutrition, Maple Lodge Farms, Boehringer Ingelheim and Big Dutchman North America .

As one of North America’s premier poultry trade shows, the National Poultry Show brings together the best in the poultry industry with the latest in poultry technology, innovations and education. It is a must attend event for the whole industry and we are looking forward to seeing you in person April 6-7, 2022.
