Mountaire Farms on Monday held its annual Thanksgiving for Thousands event on Delmarva, with more than 300 volunteers packing 11,000 meal boxes, or enough to feed nearly 50,000. The effort comes in partnership with hundreds of churches and non-profits in four states packing 32,250 meal boxes to give families in need this holiday. The Selbyville, Del.-based poultry producer held similar events in North Carolina, marking a 28th year of running the program.
