Non-starch polysaccharide (NSP) degrading enzymes have been used in monogastric
diets since the 1980’s, yet there is still debate on mode of action and how they improve
animal performance. Arabinoxylans account for 50-70% of the NSP present in cereal
grains and make up the majority of cell wall NSP in corn, wheat, rye and barley.
