In an effort to tackle the challenges posed by highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI), the Center of Excellence for Poultry Science at the University of Arkansas Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences will host the International Avian Influenza Summit on October 16-17.

With approximately 20 speakers from diverse corners of the globe, the event aims to provide distinct perspectives on the varied impacts of avian influenza in different countries and across various sectors of the industry.

Guillermo Tellez-Isaias, chairing the organizing committee, emphasizes the summit’s goal of fostering collaboration among poultry experts, scientists, lawmakers, farmers, academics, and other stakeholders. The two-day, hybrid event will take place at the Don Tyson Center for Agricultural Sciences in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and will be free of charge.
