The affected items and their respective details are as follows:
- “Pruski’s Market Spicy Beef Jerky” (1.75-oz., 2.75-oz., and 8-oz. packages) with “SELL BY” dates from 03/21/24 through 05/09/24.
- “Pruski’s Market Beef Jerky” (1.75-oz., 2.75-oz., and 8-oz. packages) with “SELL BY” dates from 03/21/24 through 05/09/24.
- “Pruski’s Market Turkey Jerky” (1.75-oz., 2.75-oz., and 8-oz. packages) with “SELL BY” dates from 03/21/24 through 05/09/24.
- “HOOSER CUSTOM MEATS BEEF JERKY MESQUITE SMOKED” (3-oz. packages) with a “SELL BY” date of 04/23/24.
Additionally, packages purchased by weight at the retail counter, containing “Beef Jerky Regular,” “Spicy Beef Jerky,” or “Turkey Jerky” with Pack Dates ranging from 9/21/23 through 11/9/23 are also affected.
Some items bear the establishment number “EST.19908” and were distributed to retail locations in Texas. Jerky items purchased by weight at Pruski’s Market retail counter lack the establishment number and mark of inspection on the label. The issue was identified during FSIS verification. Consumers are advised to check product labels for the specified dates and avoid consuming the affected jerky.
