TARGAN is set to demonstrate the proven capabilities of its WingScan system at the 2025 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta, continuing to pioneer automated feather sexing technology for broiler production. With units installed across the U.S. and Canada, and more systems set to launch across Europe in the coming months, WingScan is setting a new standard for efficiency and precision in the poultry industry worldwide.

The system utilizes advanced AI-powered imaging technology and sophisticated algorithms to accurately identify and sort millions of male and female day-old chicks each month. To date, WingScan has processed over half a billion birds, delivering exceptional throughput rates of up to 160,000 chicks per hour, depending on system configuration.

A “game-changer” for broiler production

Clients processing an average of 600,000 chicks per day describe WingScan as a “game-changer” for its ability to enhance operational efficiencies, improve animal care, and elevate customer satisfaction across the production chain.

Ramin Karimpour, Founder and CEO at TARGAN, said: “The North American poultry industry was the first in the world to experience the impact of automated feather sex identification with the introduction of WingScan. This is why IPPE is a key focus for TARGAN – an opportunity to connect with industry colleagues as we continue to lead with our technology, backed by the expertise gained from our proven, fully operational systems that consistently deliver over 97% accuracy.”

Ramin continued, “At TARGAN, our priority is customer success. That’s why we take pride in achieving over 99% uptime across all our systems. By ensuring consistent performance, we enable WingScan users to focus on their production goals with confidence, knowing they can rely on our technology to deliver results.”

Find TARGAN at booth B10045 in Hall B at the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) from January 28 to 30. The team is happy to discuss its systems, technology and mission to support a healthier, more sustainable global food supply.
