House of Raeford’s Chan Windham Named NPFDA Member of the Year

The National Protein Food Distributors Association (NPFDA) recently named Chan Windham, Director of Commodity Sales for House of Raeford Farms, as their 2022 Member of the Year. Chan’s qualities certainly checked all the requirement boxes and more for this award.

Windham has been a part of NPFDA for many years and is serving his second term on the Board of Directors. He is on the Meetings Committee and the Silent Auction Committee and will be the Chair of the NPFDA Scholarship Foundation for 2023 as well as serving as the NPFDA Treasurer. When it comes to NPFDA, Chan is all in!

He is a nearly 30-year veteran of House of Raeford, and a valuable contributor to the success of the company. Beginning as an Assistant Sales Manager at the W. Columbia, SC complex in 1995, Chan later moved to the Greenville, SC complex as Sales Manager. The corporation named him to his current position in 2003. He began his career in the poultry industry with Perdue Farms.

One of Chan’s fellow NPFDA members said, “Chan has been such a loyal member of NPFDA. He has a great attitude and is always willing to support NPFDA in any way possible. He is a great resource for all members and he is a person you just want to be around all the time.”

Born and raised in the Carolinas, Chan played collegiate football at Newberry College and graduated from Winthrop University with a degree in marketing. He is very involved in the community, coaching youth sports and supports the Big Brother Big Sister Program in the Upstate of SC, serving as a Big Brother for many years. Chan also enjoys competitive adventure races, cycling, and running road races. He is married with two children.
