JBS, one of the largest food companies in the world, is set to quadruple its production capacity in Saudi Arabia with the opening of a new plant in the country this November. With a $50 million investment, the new facility in Jeddah will focus on producing chicken nuggets, creating 500 jobs.

With over 30 years of experience exporting poultry to Saudi Arabia, JBS recently opened a processing plant in Dammam, employing about 250 people and capable of producing around 10,000 tons annually. The company also operates eight distribution centers across the country.

This week, JBS Global CEO Gilberto Tomazoni met in São Paulo with representatives from the Saudi Ministry to discuss new investment opportunities in the country.

Attending the meeting were Bandar Alkhorayef (Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources), Khalid Al-Shehri (Director of the Food Processing Sector), Matar Al Harthi (Head of the Mining Department), and Fahad Al Jubairy (Head of Strategic Sectors Department).

The opportunities discussed align with the “Saudi Vision 2030” economic development program, which focuses on investments, job creation, and promoting a green economy.
