Jue Wei Food (Canada) Ltd. is recalling a variety of products, such as processed meat and poultry items, due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s recent announcement.

Among the recalled products are spicy duck neck, head, tongue, and other assortments, along with spicy chicken feet and wing tips, spicy beef backstrips, and spicy pig feet and ear. Additionally, vegetable and egg products are included in the recall. While individual items have specified weights and UPC and lot codes, many products were sold without such identifying information. For a detailed list of affected products, refer here.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency does not typically provide estimates of the recall’s volume.

The company initiated the recall, and no illnesses linked to the consumption of these products have been reported so far. Nevertheless, CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation that may result in further product recalls.
