The state of Kentucky is temporarily suspending maximum driving time restrictions for truckers hauling livestock feed and live poultry.
An order was signed on Dec. 27 by Jim Gray, the state’s transportation secretary in response to supply chain delays and disruptions worsened by winter weather.
“This temporary waiver of service hours helps support the agricultural industry by accelerating the delivery of critical supplies and live poultry,” he said in a news release.
The order remains in effect through 12:01 a.m. on Jan. 20, 2023.
