A 19 year employee of Koch Foods was killed Tuesday morning in an industrial accident, the company confirmed.
Montgomery police Capt. Saba Coleman said officers responded to the 3500 block of West Boulevard about 1 a.m. Tuesday following an industrial accident.
Jim Gilliland, a spokesman for Koch, said Tusday evening the accident occurred during third shift.
“Koch has been wanting to contact the family and extend our sympathies to them,” he said.
Gilliland said the company is cooperating with state and federal agencies sent to investigate the circumstances that led to the man’s death.
Koch will provide counseling to any employees or family of the victim who may be impacted by his death, Gilliland said.
