Merck Animal Health Appoints Dr. Scott Stehlik as Director of Integrated Swine and Poultry for U.S. Livestock Technical Services

Merck Animal Health announces the appointment of Dr. Scott Stehlik to lead its U.S. Livestock Technical Services business unit as the Director of Integrated Swine and Poultry.

As Director of Integrated Swine and Poultry, Dr. Stehlik serves as the lead of a field-based, problem solving, customer focused team that supports the efforts of sales and marketing for the U.S. swine and poultry business unit. Stehlik works closely with sales leadership, marketing, research and development, and global teams to guide the efforts of the swine and poultry technical services team and achieve the goals of the livestock division.

Prior to Merck Animal Health, Stehlik worked at The Maschhoffs in Carlyle, Ill. for eight years, where he was responsible for business processes and profitability of sustainable pig production. He also assembled an asset footprint, developed an organizational design and built a team to facilitate genetic improvement on four proprietary swine lines. Dr. Stehlik has an 18-year career starting as a Veterinarian and working in various Technical Service roles, with experience in sales, customer relations, business development, financial reporting and technical operations.

Stehlik went to the University of Nebraska where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at Kansas State University. He is an active member of the American Association of Swine Veterinarians (AASV), and lives in Highland, Ill.
