On June 18, Pilgrim’s Pride Corp. unveiled a refreshed brand identity alongside an innovative range of chicken nugget products.
“Consumers today are tired of bland, uninspiring chicken options in the frozen aisle,” said Sergio Nahuz, president of prepared foods and chief marketing officer at Pilgrim’s US. “We’re addressing this with our new brand, which is bold and creative, focusing on delivering flavorful chicken nuggets. At Pilgrim’s, we’re redefining chicken nuggets to make them exciting and delicious.”
Highlighted offerings from Pilgrim’s include Loaded Nuggets, available in Chicken Pot Pie and Cheesy Jalapeño flavors. Additionally, the company is launching Mini Nuggets, suitable for both meals and snacks, in Zesty Ranch, Buttery, and Original varieties. Another addition is the Ultimate Nuggets, which Pilgrim’s describes as “seriously flavorful, dangerously crispy, and perfectly seasoned.”
Data from Circana, shared by Pilgrim’s, shows that chicken nuggets make up 40% of the frozen cooked chicken market. However, the variety in this segment is limited, with 97% of new nugget products differing only in pack size.
“Pilgrim’s is committed to making mealtime more exciting with innovative flavors and products that meet America’s cravings,” the company stated in its news release.
