Pure Prairie Farms Bolsters Management Team with Industry Veterans

Charles City, Iowa-based chicken processor, Pure Prairie Farms, has announced the recruitment of two seasoned meat industry professionals to enhance its management cadre.

Karen Moody will assume the role of Vice President of Human Resources, leading the company’s people-centric strategies. Concurrently, Mark Page will serve as Vice President of Operations, spearheading efforts to optimize operational efficiencies.

In a press release, Brian Roelofs, President and CEO of Pure Prairie Farms, stated, “Our corporate vision revolves around personalizing the chicken business. Karen Moody brings a wealth of strategic and operational acumen in human resources garnered over decades of experience. She has held key positions at prominent food companies, including Marathon Cheese Corporation, West Liberty Foods, Shearer’s Snacks, and Snyder’s-Lance Inc.

Mark Page contributes extensive expertise in food operations, having amassed 25 years of experience at Minnesota-based chicken provider GNP Company. His most recent roles were as Vice President of Operations for egg producer Sparboe Farms and Nature’s Path Foods. Page succeeds the retiring Chief Operating Officer, Bob Wolfe, who has amassed over 30 years of leadership experience in the industry.

Roelofs expressed enthusiasm about the appointment, emphasizing the alignment of the recruits’ qualities with the heartland’s values of strong work ethic and integrity.
