462

Taylor Farms Pacific has initiated a recall of approximately 19,976 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) apple walnut with chicken salad bowl products. The recall, as reported by the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), stems from misbranding and the undisclosed presence of a wheat allergen.

These affected products were manufactured between February 28 and March 9. Specifically, the recall pertains to 5.5-oz. clear plastic bowl containers labeled “Kroger APPLE WALNUT WITH CHICKEN SALAD KIT FOR ONE,” with use-by dates ranging from March 12, 2024, through March 22, 2024, and various lot codes (TFPM059B41, TFPM060B41, TFPM061A41, TFPM062A41, TFPM063B41, TFPM064A41, TFPM064B41, TFPM065A41, TFPM066A41, TFPM067A41, TFPM068A41, TFPM069B42, TFPM071A41).

These recalled products feature establishment number “P-34013” below the use-by date and lot code. They were distributed to retail locations across Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

The issue came to light during a routine quality assurance check of ingredient labels conducted by the establishment. This prompted them to promptly notify FSIS about the potential presence of wheat, an allergen not listed on the label. Fortunately, there have been no reported adverse reactions associated with the consumption of these products.
