Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Jan. 2, 2024 — Cobb, a leading global poultry genetics company, is pleased to announce the promotion of Youngho Hong to Senior Director of Operations for Cobb Asia-Pacific, overseeing the production and sales of Cobb breeding stock in the Philippines, China and New Zealand.
Hong joined Cobb in 2019 as the Director of Technical Service, demonstrating exceptional leadership and expertise. In that role, he led a team of technical service experts in the Asia-Pacific region, contributing significantly to the company’s success.
“Youngho has a proven track record as a team leader,” said Roy Mutimer, Vice President of Cobb Asia-Pacific and EMEA. “I am confident he will be a great asset in strengthening our operational excellence in his new role.”
In this capacity, Hong will build on his extensive experience to lead and direct operations in key Asia-Pacific markets, further solidifying Cobb’s position as a leader in the poultry industry.
Hong succeeds Orlando Fernandez, who retired at the end of December 2023 after 20 years of dedicated service to the company. Fernandez served as head of operations for the past three years, leaving an enduring mark on the organization.

Hong, a graduate of Konkuk University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in Korea, brings over 23 years of poultry experience to his new role. A wealth of knowledge and commitment to excellence position him as a key driver in Cobb’s continued success in the Asia-Pacific region.
